The Church of Scientology & Community Centre of Dublin marked International Volunteer Recognition Day 2026 by holding the sixth annual HELP Awards, an event dedicated to recognising people and groups helping others throughout Ireland. The ceremony drew volunteers, civic figures, human rights advocates and past awardees for a celebration of service to others.
Frank Allen, previous awardee, playwright, director and former Dublin Prisons teacher, gave the keynote address. This year’s award recipients included Walk And Talk and Stephen Brennan, the Kurdish Community of Ireland and Mokthar Moradi, the Indonesian-Irish Association and Irene Murphy, Scoil Rince Ní Áogain and Denise Egan, Nicolae Dulea, Joseph Orgin and Feljose Shristeca, Stefano Bonvini, Mohammed Rashid of Safco Fine Foods, Mass Events Ireland, Dr. Mahesh Baj, and Neera Baj.
Established in 2019 by the Scientology Volunteer Ministers, the HELP Awards celebrate those improving lives eu news ireland through community service. The event also highlighted the wider mission of the Scientology Volunteer Minister programme, created by author and humanitarian L. Ron Hubbard, through which trained volunteers respond to social challenges and assist communities.
